Comic Collabs

The very best part of being a comics writer is getting to collaborate with talented artists. I'm heavily influenced by the underground comix trailblazers from 1960-1980. At the top of my favorites is Real Stuff by Dennis Eichhorn. Raw, honest, and funny all describe his work and he's "just" a writer, not an illustrator. Harvey Pekar, R. Crumb, Dennis Kitchen, Aline Crumb, Chester Brown, Julie Doucet, and Joe Matt round out my personal Hall of Fame.

I have an amazing comix partner in Gideon Kendall. he creates comics across several genres and is an Eisner winner and a former Mad magazine contributor. We've collaborated on our autobiological comic, Wait...It Gets Worse, and I also work with many other talented artists who bring my stories to life in amazing and mind-blowing ways. Those stories are now a published book as a collection of nearly all our WIGW stories and several new ones.

These are all page 1's of short stories I collaborated on with comic artists for "Wait...It Gets Worse."
