I remember when I started writing graphic short stories being amazed they're written in a script format like a screenplay. Writers get to be God-like because they write dialog but they also know what's going on inside each character's head. Then it's sound effects, onenomopeas, perspectives, and neat or messy endings. The writer gets to decide.
I've never been a superheroes or fantasy comics reader. I'm into non-fiction and autobiographical comics - the underground comix kind that first became popular in the 1960s and that are much less popular today.
